Uncork a new adventure in wine county with us as we cycle through the historic town of Niagara on the Lake, alongside the Niagara river, past rolling vineyards of Estate wineries located along what Winston Churchill called "the prettiest Sunday drive in the World" our Niagara Parkway. Sample our award winning VQA wines at cottage and boutique wineries, along with handcrafted ice-wine.

Our cycle tours are suitable for all levels of ability, our pace is one of leisure and fun!


General Information

All cycle tours include individually fitted touring bicycle, experienced, tour guide, private wine tastings, touring and tasting fees at wineries, water and complimentary pick up of purchases. Each tour includes ice wine samples in addition to the offerings as shown in each tour

Daily Cycle Tours From April to end of October

Cycle tours begin and end at our touring centre in the Heart of Niagara on the Lake, 92 Picton Street @ Wellington Street (on the main street of Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, across from the Shaw Theatre). Suggested parking is available at Fort George parking lot, across the street from our touring centre. No restroom facilities available.

Don't forget your camera and sunscreen and bring along a light jacket for layering. Daily sanitized helmet rentals are available. You are welcome to bring your own if you wish. Helmets are mandatory in Ontario for guests under 18 years of age. Above 18 is optional.

Regarding weather, our tours go rain or shine, it is all part of the wine country experience! In the case of rain, we provide rain ponchos. If it does rain hard, our groups will just wait a few minutes at the winery (not a bad place to wait and enjoy!) If we are forced to cancel a tour, we offer a full refund or try to accommodate same day with a similar tour by vehicle. Customers electing not to participate in a scheduled tour that departs are offered a rain check that may be used for a future date. Tours that are cancelled after departing and/or after participating in a partial tour will receive our best efforts to accommodate everyone by vehicle for the tour. If we are unable to accommodate the tour a rain check is issued for a future date. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a micro-climate with less volatile weather than surrounding areas. We typically have wonderful weather! Cycling tours do not go in lightning. We have a saying much like the West Coast, "just wait 10 minutes and the weather will change". All this said, we have never had to cancel a tour.

Many of the fine wines tasted on our tour are only available for purchase at these wineries making it an extra special experience!

Bicycle Rentals

Bicycle rentals are available at our Touring Center. Hybrid and Cruiser bicycle rentals are available at a rate of $12.00 hourly, $30.00 per day or $20.00 for a half day; up to 3 hours.

Tandems bicycle rentals are available at a rate of $24.00 hourly, $60.00 per day or $40.00 for a half day; up to 3 hours. Overnight, weekend and multi day rentals are available, please contact us for pricing.

Our bicycle rentals are equipped with handlebar pouches and water bottle carriers. Daily sanitized helmets and locks available. Add a picnic basket to complete that romantic ride together!

Self Guided Tours

Although we recommend our guided tours because of the insights into the area provided by a local tour guide; the personal attention received at the wineries including private wine tastings, our delicious picnic lunch in one of Niagara Secret Garden's, pick up of purchases, we do offer an all inclusive self guided tour.

Decant your senses as you cycle at your own pace on your own personalized bike and wine tours. Whether you are a recreational rider or an experienced cyclist, we want to make your experience in Niagara Wine Country as enjoyable as possible.

We recognize that part of a getaway is breaking out of a schedule and enjoying the flexibility of touring on your own; create your own wine route as you explore wine country! Very thoughtful planning has gone into our NEW all inclusive DIY tour option.

Simply Serendipitous

This tour includes a touring bicycle, a detailed tour map, water and a delicious preordered lunch, available at your time of preference, in one of our Secret Garden locations; location to be provided upon arrival! Then simply let serendipity whisk you away into beautiful Niagara countryside at your own pace. Stop, sample and explore four award-winning wineries, enjoy an informative tour at Reif Estates and structured wine tastings at all four. Wineries included on this tour option include Reif Estates, Caroline Cellars, Marynissen Estates, FrogPond (organic) Winery, Peller Estates, and Riverview Cellars. The best part, we provide complimentary pick up of your wine purchases while you are on tour and have them back at the touring centre when you return!

Suitable for small group celebrations, couples, recreational rider or an experienced cyclist, we want to make your vacation as enjoyable as possible!

Morning Cycle Tour

Start the morning with a cycle tour along a spectacular route! Join one of our guides on a tour through historic Niagara-On-The-Lake, past historic Fort George and on a cycle path beside the Niagara Parkway - called "one of the prettiest Sunday drives in the world" - and the breath-taking Niagara River. Stop at a local fruit market for refreshment.

Visit three award winning boutique wineries for private wine tastings of outstanding wines that can only be purchased at the local wineries. Wineries may include: Riverview Cellars, Marynissen Estates, FrogPond Farms Organic Winery, Reif Estate Winery, Caroline Cellars and Inniskillin Wines.

Wheel and Wine
Afternoon Cycle Tour

Cycle past rolling vineyards and orchards along the impressive Niagara River, enjoy "the prettiest town in Canada" and the magnificent parkway. Cycle in small groups during this three-four hour tour and discover some of the hidden gems that make Niagara Wine Country such a unique place to visit while sampling world class wines only available at the wineries. Visit three outstanding boutique wineries; tour one, private wine tastings of award winning wines at each.

Our Signature Cycle with Secret Garden Picnic Lunch

Discover the picturesque country lanes and Canada's finest bicycle trails to Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries. Our experienced, local guide will provide interesting insights into Niagara Wine Country on your visits to four charming boutique and estate wineries, famous for their international award winning wines with a tour of one and private tastings at each, savour a classic picnic lunch in one of our secret garden's for a unique wine country experience!

Wineries may include; a special tour of premium boutique winery, Lailey Vineyard with their sommelier or winemaker, followed by a private wine tasting in their barrel cellar of the exclusively estate-grown premium wines. A Taste of Niagara
Culinary And Cycle Wine Tour

Ride through the old town past beautiful historic estates to Canada's 1st "LEED Certified" Stratus Winery. Experience this magnificent, new innovative winery followed by a sampling of a "flight" of four fine wines. Relax over lunch of Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the Tuscan countryside at the Old Winery Restaurant. In the age-old tradition of the Italian Trattoria with an open kitchen, the sight, sounds and aromas of wonderful Italian cuisine are recreated in this beautifully restored winery building. Cycle on country roads and Canada's finest bicycle trails to three charming, boutique and cottage wineries for private wine tastings at each.
